Saturday was such a beautiful day. I met Laura and Caitlin at Salut on Grand Ave for lunch (I already blogged about it). The food was really good and it was a cute place. It was fun to have a girls lunch. I think Adam would like it, so we'll have to try it sometime.
That afternoon, Adam had the great idea to take Chester and the camera for a walk to nearby Mounds Park. Of course Chester LOVED this. At the park he made friends with a silky, and barked at some bigger dogs. I've come to the conclusion that he's fine around dogs his size or smaller, but feels the need to bark like a maniac at larger dogs. I think this is because he's used to the two large neighbor dogs barking at him.

That night, Adam and I watched "Winter's Bone." It was okay; kind of messed up. Not a lot really happened, but I definitely liked it better than "True Grit."
Yesterday was just another lazy day around the house. There's not too many of those left before summer. I finished my book, "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." I really enjoyed it even though some of the really scientific chapters made my eyes glaze over. I thought the story of Henrietta and her family was fascinating. I think anyone who went to school for a medical degree, or who is interested in cells would find it especially fascinating.
The most exciting part of the day was when Adam made some hot sauce out of jalepenos and habaneros. It made 3 bottles worth and should last us a while. I can't wait to try some.
Tonight we're going to see Bright Eyes at First Ave. I'm really excited! It's my favorite band besides The Beatles. Sadly, Adam hates both of my favorites. Oh well, at least he's going with me and hopefully won't complain much.

You are such an interesting girl Stef. I love and adore your cousin Kasey Larson...and I am starting to feel the same way about you. I mean I don't really know you that well yet - but I just like you. I LOVE that picture of that tree. And Chester looks so tough in that picture when he is out walking. Look out world - Here comes Chester!
