After grilling all week to avoid heating the house up, we decided to just go out for dinner Friday night. We enjoyed Thai at Ruam Mit in downtown. I enjoyed the pineapple fried rice, and Adam had the papaya salad (papaya slaw+sticky rice+lettuce+dried beef). We also split a few egg rolls.
Back at home, we enjoyed the cool down that the rain brought by opening up the windows and taking Chester for an evening walk for the first time in a while. The little guy doesn't do very well with the heat due to his smooshy face.
Saturday morning, we headed to the Farmer's Market. We weren't there long, but picked up some baby potatoes and basil for this week. Then Adam did a few projects around the house like replacing our knob and deadbolt in the kitchen (partially painted and grungy) and putting the old one from the kitchen on the garage door (which was broken).
That evening was David and Sarah's wedding. David is a friend of Adam's from college. We took a short taxi ride with a CRAZY cabbie there so neither of us would have to worry about driving. Apparently the cabbie knows 130 people that have died just in St.P from crack in the past 30 years. And no, I have no clue how that topic even started... It was really weird and awkward. We couldn't wait to get out of that car!
The ceremony was on a paddleboat at 6 pm, followed by dinner and dancing.

It was such a gorgeous night - clear and not too hot. After dinner, the boat went through Lock & Dam #1, which was quite exciting. I've never been through a lock before (that I can remember).

We had a lot of fun at the dance, but it was much too short! Adam was a dancing MACHINE!

The dance ended when we got back to the landing at 10:30. Since it was so early, everyone met up downtown at a few bars. We luckily got a ride over (thanks Sean!). First, we went to The Liffey. They had cider so I was happy.
Next, a few of us stopped at Jimmy John's for a snack before heading over to Tom Reid's.
We ended up getting a ride home at the end of the night (thanks Kelly!), and were sooo glad that we didn't have to deal with a cab.

Sunday we basically layed around and relaxed all day. We also watched
The Hulk so we can be ready to see
The Avengers. There are a few more Marvel movies we have to watch first though.
