On Friday afternoon, Adam enjoyed fishing with his work buddy. This has become quite the tradition. He had really good luck catching bass with his top water frog.
That night, we met some friends at a dive-y bar. We had fun playing bocce ball in the basement until the sewer smell made us retreat back upstairs to where the loud band was. It was fun to see everyone, but I wish we could have talked more without having to shout over the band!
We got up Saturday and got going back to my parents right away. We arrived at 11:30, and headed out on the river soon after. It was a beautiful but hot day. We hung out at Crater Island for a while where we met up with some family.
Then Skyler and Stine were pulled on the lounge tube for a bit before Stine and I rode it all the way back from Crater. It's a pretty leisurely ride, but you definitely want to hold on because it can get rough.
We got off the water at 4:30, and headed home. There we relaxed with Chester a bit before heading to the races for Clason night. On the way there, we made a quick stop at the liquor store to pick up some New Glarus products for Adam. I even got a bottle of Malibu!
The races were enjoyable. It cooled down nicely once the sun went down. We had fun riding around in the pace car with Stine, and of course Adam enjoyed the free beer in the Hospitality Chalet. There was a fireworks display at the end which was much better than I expected.

Sunday was the big party for Skyler's birthday - which was the reason we came down.
It was fun to see all the cousins together for the first time since all the weddings two years ago.
| This would have been a good one except Sara got cut off... |

| I think this one is kind of hilarious - Grandma with the grandkids, spouses & great-grandkids |

We left at 5 or so, and were back around 7. And exhausted. We were only gone for one night, but it felt much longer.
