Sadly for Chester, both Adam and I had to work on his birthday. But I did spend some extra time with him in the morning before work. After work, we took him for a nice walk around the block. Then, he got some chopped carrots with his normal kibble for dinner (a special treat).
Chester was really excited to open his card from Grandma, Steve, and Aunt Christine. He really wanted the $2 (since he's 2!) that were inside. In a bad bad way.
Next, he opened his presents from us.
Some bones...
A special gift from Adam was a large mouth bass squeaky toy.
Chester also got a dragonfly toy, and a turtle Tuffy's Toy.
Then, it was time for his birthday hat (hated it),
and his "pupcake" with cream cheese frosting. I made the pupcakes on Tuesday night. I'll probably freeze the extras.
He scarfed it down.
My boys humored me while I took some family photos to mark the occasion.
Then we played for a while, before it was time for bed.
We let him sleep in bed with us. We've been letting him a few times this month because it's been so hot and we thought it would be to stuffy in his kennel. He pretty much loves it, but likes to either wake us up with kisses or hog the bed. Lucky for us, the nights we do want him to sleep in his kennel, he doesn't put up a fight or whine. So at least he's not spoiled, yet...
