Friday, I ran to Target after work. That was about as exciting as my day got. At home, we just watched the Olympics and relaxed.
On Saturday, we slept in, and then ran errands. Like getting my ring cleaned/inspected, taking our wide angle lens in to get fixed, and looking at smaller D-SLR cameras. Luckily, our lens is under warranty. Not so lucky is that it will take 4-6 weeks to come back. So we probably won't have it for our big Europe trip. And it's my favorite lens. NatCam said they would try to get us a loaner. I really hope that works out.
Back at home, we relaxed for a bit and then headed downtown for the Twins game. Unless we pick up some tickets, this was our last game of the year. We've been to twelve games though (four not at Target Field), so that's quite a few! I think we've been to plenty.
It was a fun game even though the Twins lost. And despite the super annoying AND super drunk old people in front of us.
We even split helmet nachos! It was huge!
Sunday we had planned to take the boat fishing. As soon as we were all loaded up, it started looking like it was going to rain, so we decided to wait for a bit. I was antsy, so I picked up the shears and trimmed along the fence line for an hour. I made a mess, but it sure looks better. It's annoying how often we have to do this though since it's not even our fence...
Since it never rained, we ended up going fishing around noon. The threat of rain kept a lot of people awake, so the usually busy Lake Gervais was empty. The fish weren't biting, but we had a nice afternoon out on the lake. It was cold, so I was all snuggled up and got lots of reading done.
Adam got one fish, a bass, all day. I didn't catch any.
Not much else to report from the weekend. It was pretty low key!
