Friday afternoon, Adam went fishing for the afternoon with his work buddy. He caught a HUGE bass! It was the only fish they caught, but I'd say it was worth it!
When I got home from work, we went up to the cabin for the weekend with Adam's parents. Friday evening, we enjoyed a nice campfire. Chester was really good and just napped in our laps.
On Saturday, we relaxed and went out on the boat for a while. We did a little fishing, but didn't catch anything.
Back at the cabin, Chester enjoyed running around and barking at the chipmunks and other wildlife. He also did a lot of chewing on his antler, thanks to Curt's ingenious clamp idea (since Chester likes you to hold the antler for him).
I took a few shots with my new camera, including this as my first one. Of course it was of Chester!
It's a Canon T3i. I wanted something a little smaller and lighter to have in addition to the 60D. This way, on trips we can both be taking photos instead of handing the camera back and forth constantly. Same with constantly switching lenses - since both camera bodies use the same lenses, they're interchangeable. So we can use leave our most frequently used lenses on them.
For dinner, we made pizza pudgie pies in the fire. And for dessert, nutella, peanut butter and marshmallow ones. Yum!
It rained Saturday evening, so we didn't get to sit around the fire.
On Sunday, I went fishing with Adam and his dad for a few hours, while Chester hung out with his grandma L.
This time we had a lot of luck with the panfish. I caught 9, and I have no idea how many Adam caught as he wouldn't say. But it was less than 9. Haha. I win! And I only lost/caught up 2 jigs in the weeds. Oops...
