Weekend Recap: Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend this year, we went up to Adam's parent's cabin by Siren, WI. The weather was a little uncooperative, but luckily it didn't rain much. We had a lot of great food and fun times. I brought the SLR along, but didn't use it, so I don't have many photos to share. Luckily I took a few with my point-and-shoot and Robin sent me some she took on her phone.

Adam enjoyed fishing Saturday morning and Sunday morning with his dad. He would have fished all day all weekend if he could have.

Unfortunately, it was a little chilly all weekend so we didn't go out on the water much, and definitely did not get in. One night it was a low of 39°! The only good part about that was it seemed to kill some bugs off and it was much less buggy on Sunday night so we could finally enjoy a campfire.

On Sunday, we met my parents, sister, Alex, Kim, Wyatt and Ava at a cabin/house they were renting up by Hayward, WI. It was right on the lake and very nice. Sunday of course was the coldest day, so we spent a lot of time indoors. Adam still did some fishing and we did go on one pontoon boat ride.

Chester was mostly a good boy as he's used to Curt and Robin's cabin. He was a little stressed out at the other cabin because he had to be on a leash inside. On the pontoon boat ride there he was a maniac, and very stressed out. He did enjoy seeing everyone though.

It was a fun Labor Day weekend and we got to see both of our families which was nice. I still can't believe it's September though! Where did summer go?!
