We're Home!

After lots of driving, we are back home from our Montana/Canada road trip vacation with my family. We had great weather and a lot of fun! It was nice to get home and see Chester yesterday though. We sure missed the little guy and thought about him a lot.

We saw Glacier National Park in the U.S. and Waterton Lakes, Kootenay and Banff National Parks in Canada. We drove through Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Just in driving to each destination, we put on at least 2866 miles. That total doesn't include any driving we did at each place such as the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier or driving to see the different lakes in Banff. It sounds like a lot of driving, but it was pretty well spread out over a few days. The only bad days were the 2 on the way back (Medicine Hat to St. Paul = >1000 miles).

I think this will be our last vacation that we go on with other people. We seem to have a different travel style than many and have ambitious plans. We want to see everything possible because we don't know when or if we'll ever get back to a particular place. There are too many places in the world to see!

I don't really have any pictures to share yet as Adam and I need to look through them together tonight. I have a few that I took with my point-and-shoot, but I didn't use it much. I will try to post the first of our actual photos tomorrow. Until then, here's a few I took with the cybershot.

On the way to Glacier, we drove through a town named Chester. Of course I had to stop for a photo!
