Friday night I went to Target after work to pick up a few items including a frame for a print Christine got us in France from the Imagerie d'Epinal. Then Adam and I went to dinner together at Sawatdee in downtown St. Paul. We enjoyed the atmosphere, but it was a long wait for our food and my Pad Thai was not good. At least the appetizer and Adam's food were good. I still probably wouldn't go back there though.
Adam worked both Saturday and Sunday mornings, but got home around the time Chester and I were getting up. Saturday morning Adam and I went to the St. Paul Farmer's Market. We got a lot of great items including eggplant, brussels sprouts, sweet corn, onions and beets. Then we were off to Hancock Fabrics where I had hoped to find some upholstery fabric I liked to finally reupholster our dining room chairs. They're currently upholstered in lime green and I've been saying this for almost two years (since we got them). No luck though.
That afternoon, Adam and I cleaned the house furiously. He did wonders on the basement and I cleaned the floors, put random things away, put the print from Stine into a frame and hung it, and polished the silver pitcher that belonged to his grandparents.

On Sunday morning, we finally worked on making a flower bed in the back yard. I've had flowers sitting in our porch for a while now just waiting to be planted. Some of them have not survived... but I have hope they'll miraculously recover and planted them anyway.
Step 1: Clear the weeds and trim the grass short
I should have taken a before picture. Just imagine a grassy/weedy spot.
Step 2: Put the landscaping fabric down. Make sure to cut a hole out for the existing rose bush. Secure with stakes.

Step 4: Put down mulch and spread around. Water the plants.

We showered up and then headed to Minneapolis for the Twins vs. Yankees game. Of course they lost in a pathetic outing. We were sitting next to some REALLY annoying and smug Yankees fans. Ugh. They are the worst. I still can't figure out why Gardy took Swarzak out so soon?
It was a hot day and I got a little sun burned on my left side. It wasn't the most fun I've ever had at a Twins game, but I did enjoy loudly booing A-Rod at every possible opportunity.
