Weekend Recap Part 2: The Cabin

Saturday morning we got up, packed, and hit the road for Adam's parent's cabin near Siren, WI. It was a gorgeous weekend for being up at the lake.

Saturday was the perfect day for being out on the lake. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze. Sunday was also nice, but almost too warm. Chester swam both days and was pretty good on the boat, especially compared to his behavior the previous weekend.

Adam enjoyed going fishing with his dad in the mornings, while the rest of us slept in. I enjoyed relaxing and reading a book.

We had some great meals and snacks up at the cabin including deep fried pickles, grilled chicken, oven roasted broccoli, and a build your own potato bar. Unfortunately, it was too buggy to sit around the campfire, but we still made s'mores. Luckily there weren't as many ticks - we only pulled 2 off of Chester compared to at least 10 the weekend before.

On Monday afternoon we headed back to St. Paul. We were exhausted! It was a great relaxing weekend at the cabin though.
