WR: Eating, Relaxing + House Projects

Our weekend consisted of a lot of relaxing, eating and little house projects.
Adam worked a half day on Friday (summer hours!), so he enjoyed a few hours in the afternoon fishing out on the boat. He caught a nice bass!

I worked all day, and then stopped at the library after work. I came out to a car that wouldn't start. Not special. A quick phone call, and Adam was on his way to get me. We decided to let it cool off and go home. We ordered a pizza for dinner at Savoy's, went to pick it up, and stopped to get the car. Still no start. Adam had to jump start it. (Fast forward to Monday, and Adam fixed it with a new battery and advice on cleaning the throttle body from my Dad. It's awesome to have such handy men in my life!)
Back at home, we enjoyed our pizza and relaxed after a stressful afternoon with the car.
Adam got up with Chester Saturday morning so I could sleep in. He's so good to me! We grabbed lunch at Dickey's BBQ and then ran some errands at Target, Fleet Farm, and Jared (semi-annual ring cleaning/inspection).

Back at home, we relaxed out on the patio with a cold beverage. As we were sitting there, I casually mentioned that we should take the wood beams out that use to separate our garden from the lawn. They were already there when we moved in.

Adam was feeling motivated, so he got on that right away. It'll make mowing a lot easier and give Chester a bigger yard to lounge in!

Chester and I supervised!

For dinner, Adam grilled fish and we had some yummy fish tacos. I also enjoyed a Mango Margarita.
We watched a really weird movie that night, Cloud Atlas. I thought it looked good, but it was pretty bad.
On Sunday, Adam allowed me to sleep in once again. I sure love my sleep!
Then he worked on smoking a pork loin. We had it on nachos for dinner. Yum!

We also worked on a project that I had bought supplies for a while ago - my jewelry board. I covered a bulletin board with white damask print fabric (Adam staplegunned it on for me). Then Adam hung it up in our bedroom above our dresser.

I had fun putting a lot of my necklaces up on it using stick pins. I was well out of space in my jewelry box, so my necklaces were taking over the dresser. Now I can use my jewelry box for rings and earrings, and have most of the necklaces i wear easy to grab. I really like how it turned out!
We also gave Chester his first bath in quite a while. He was really good for it. Probably because he was bribed with lots of treats.

After, he was a maniac racing around. This always happens when he's wet. It's hilarious. Now he's soft and smells good! We should give him a bath more often!
