Seattle Day 4: Anniversary Dinner

Our dinner date was at Etta's by Pike Place. Etta's is another Tom Douglas restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The service and food was excellent! Since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave us each a complimentary glass of champagne. It was very thoughtful and appreciated.

To start, we decided to share half of a steamed dungeness crab. At $25 for just a half, it was a bit overpriced (but that's how much it is everywhere!) but amazing.

I also had a sangria that I wanted to love but didn't because it had mint in it (which it didn't say on the menu...). It was very pretty though!

For our mains, Adam had the Pacific Albacore with curried carrots, puffed grains, tahini yogurt, and torn herb. He really enjoyed it.

I ordered the Alaskan Halibut with spanish fried rice, rock shrimp, clams, chorizo, and saffron (minus the chorizo). I LOVED it. The halibut had a nice golden crust on it and the fried rice was delightful. It was seriously such a good dish.

We decided to split dessert and ordered the warm blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Yum!

We had a window overlooking the sidewalk so there was some great people watching as well.

After dinner, we walked along Pike Place and took some photos of the signs as it got dark.

And of course, we each had to pose by Rachel the Pig, Pike Place Market's unofficial mascot.

Then we walked back to the hotel, encountering the Torchlight Parade on the way.

Lucky for us (not) it was happening on the street right outside our hotel room. It was pretty loud until at least 10:30 (think bands and fire engine sirens). It wasn't a big deal as we had to pack anyway - Sunday we were heading to Mount Rainier for the night!
