BEHOLD our Holiday Decor

Now that it's time to take everything down, I realized I never shared our Christmas decor.

I didn't put much up again this year, so these were the main areas of focus.

Christmas Cards -
I used these cute little photo holders my mom gave me a few years back to display our immediate family holiday cards on top of the secretary. I also used one of the cute papier-mâché trees that I love.

Christmas Village -
I'm obsessed with this sweet little Christmas village. I actually have four pieces, but only three fit, so I rotate one out every year. My sister gave me a few of them and I bought the other two. I love the glitter. Adam does not. When I got them out, Adam actually said, "Do you have to put those out this year?"

and at night -

Since they're kind of a winter thing, I'm going to leave them out as long as possible!

Merry Christmas sign -
I hung this above the entryway into the kitchen. I love how sparkly it is, Adam does not (see Christmas village)

Tablecloth -
Also from Crate & Barrel, I got this for Christmas from my parents. It's not exclusively Christmas, so I can leave it out for a while! It looks really good with this candle holder we got as a housewarming gift from my aunt Ahna and family.

Christmas rug -
It's by the front door and looks extra festive, especially with a cute pug sitting on it, just begging for his photo to be taken -

Stockings -
One for each family member, and they even match the Christmas tree skirt! I just hang them from the bookcase right by the tree since we don't have a fireplace.

Pointsettia -
I have to get one every year. Yes, I know they're poisonous to pets, but I keep it up high and away from Chester.

And I saved the best for last,
the Christmas tree -

I alternate between two types of ribbon on it, so it doesn't look exactly the same every year. This year was the red/green velvet. Next year, it will be back to the red snowflake felt. See last year's here.

I had some fun playing around taking photos from the porch to incorporate our awesome old front door.

and at night -

I even got a new sparkly star for it this year from Crate & Barrel,

and a bunch of new ornaments on all of our trips.
L to R: Tower of London, Vegas, Death Valley NP

L to R: Versailles and a beer mug
I may have an ornament addiction...
