Adam's Birthday Celebrations

I always like celebrating a "birthday week," and have enjoyed bringing Adam into the birthday week fold.

As I already mentioned in the previous Weekend Recap, we started the birthday week with a party with friends on Friday. We  continued it with my family in Green Bay, even singing the "Happy Birthday" song to Adam.

Since Adam's birthday was on a Monday, it was kind of low key. I picked him up and took him to Chipotle for a quick lunch. We did this same thing for my birthday. We do so enjoy Chipotle burritos, and it was fun to see each other in the middle of the day.

Back at home, I made chilli for dinner, and we watched a movie and snuggled the pug. I also gave him a gift (besides the Terrain, I know, I'm so generous) -

On Wednesday, the celebration continued with Adam's family. We all met at Salut Bar Americain at 6:30. It was Adam's first time eating there, and my second (but first for dinner). It was delicious!

The guys started out with a platter of oysters. Ish. Robin and I stuck to calamari. Yum.

For our main entrees, I had the Walleye en Papillote (walleye, yukon potatoes, leeks, wild mushrooms, herb-truffle butter). I loved it, especially the wild mushrooms.

Adam had the Hanger Steak with frites and bleu cheese gratin. He said it was really good, but almost too much blue cheese. It was a lot!

For dessert, we all had after dinner drinks. I was the lone non-port drinker.

So much fun. Thanks again to Curt & Robin!

Birthday week ended on Friday night when we went out to dinner; just the two of us. Stay tuned for those details in the next Weekend Recap post.
