Weekend Recap: Paw-a-ween & Fam visit

Chester had a very busy weekend, and we did too!

Friday night we relaxed at home, made crêpes, and got some housework done. I also worked on fixing Chester's costume so it wasn't too big for the little lion. Then I picked my mom and sister up in downtown Minneapolis at 11 when their play got done. Chester was very excited to have visitors!

On Saturday morning, mom and I ran Christine over to Kelly's dorm at the U. We got a tour of her very cute room, before heading home. My dad arrived, and the guys carried in our new china cabinet for the kitchen. I'll have to grab a photo this week. Once we clean it up and paint it, it's going to look awesome in our kitchen. I'm really excited for the storage space!

Then it was time to head off to Paw-a-ween. This time it was at a boarding facility that had a huge fenced in yard with lots of agility equipment. Chester was in heaven!

It was so funny to watch him trucking around in his little lion costume. He had so much fun.

He was actually a really good boy and didn't have any barking meltdowns. Well, other than his need to go track down the rescue greyhounds that were there and bark at them. He would actually seek them out to follow them around and bark. Little stinker.

He got to see his brother Albert,

his other brother Bubba,

and puggy mom Martha. I think he remembered her too because he playfully nibbled on her ears and licked her. It was cute once I figured out what he was doing.

He was the cutest lion there even if the judges didn't agree and gave best costume to another pug in a fuzzy lion costume. I may be biased, but it wasn't nearly as cute as Chester's. I saw that same costume online and didn't like it.... Oh well, it's not like he cared!

We were there for an hour and a half which was a good amount of time. He saw his puggy fam, ran around, had his photo taken and played on the equipment. He was really sleepy by the time we left!

Back at home, Adam and my dad trimmed some tree branches. Our yard will look much better next year!

That evening, we went out to eat with my parents at La Boca Chica. We celebrated Adam's promotion and had a nice time!

Sunday morning, mom and I took Chester for his morning walk, and then picked up Christine at Kelly's while my dad and Adam loaded everything up. It was nice to see my fam for a quick visit!

Before the Vikings game, Adam and I ran some errands to get supplies for our Halloween costumes. Our friends always have a costume party for Halloween. It was hard to figure out something to be this year, but Adam had a good idea, and I think it will be cute. I'll post photos next week after the party!

Back at home, we watched the Vikings game and relaxed. It was a gorgeous day, so I took Chester for a little walk during half time. He loved it and even saw his girlfriend - dressed up in a skeleton shirt. So cute!

Once again, it was a really great weekend!
