Weekend Recap: Mexican, Recovering & Yardwork

Yes, I realize I haven't posted since my last weekend update. I blame it on being sick. Last week's activities revolved around work, making dinner, and sleep.

Adam and I enjoyed one of our last weekends with no plans before summer starts. My #1 priority for the weekend was to rest and get over this 2 week long cold/sickness/whatever.

Friday night we spontaneously decided to go out to dinner at El Loro in Eagan. I had gone with some work friends a month or so back and really enjoyed a particular dish - Enchiladas Rancheras. It's cheese enchiladas with fajita toppings - pork, onion and peppers. It's so delicious!

It was a bit of a wait for a table, but worth it. Adam got a Dos Equis that was about the size of his head and it was only like $5! Mom, don't worry, I drove home!

Saturday, Adam mowed the lawn and did some yardwork while I spent time with pug. We ventured out to do a little yard work, but rapidly lost ambition as it looked like it was going to rain. I did plant some lettuce though, so we'll see if that comes up. My seedlings in the porch aren't ready yet though.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing - I did a lot of reading and Adam watched a movie. Then, we watched The Descendents together. Adam thought it was boring, but I enjoyed it. Hawaii looks beautiful!

Sunday brought more yardwork, mostly on the side of the house. Chester LOVED being out on his tie out. He found lots of grass and sticks to nibble on. In the afternoon, Adam ran to the grocery store while I did some cleaning up around the house.

So we didn't do much over the weekend, but it was worth it because I feel 100% better today. Sometimes you just have to take it easy and not push yourself too much if you ever want to recover... Easier said than done!

Tonight, we're going to the Twins game! Our second of the year. Yeah, the Twins are terrible, but we still have fun. And I won't be sick for this one so it won't be as miserable.
