We got on the road to Milwaukee at 8:30, and drove straight to the Miller-Coors Brewery arriving at 11:30. So it was a 3 hour drive there. We missed the first few minutes of the video, but that was fine. The next stop on the tour was bottling. They were bottling that day which I found simply FASCINATING. Seriously. It was my favorite part.
Then we went to the warehouse and saw packaging, also interesting.
Next, we went up a bunch of stairs to a hot room to see where they actually brewed the beer.
Across the street were the caves where they used to store the beer. I thought they were going to be interesting, but they weren't. It was just a big brick room with a cheesy mural that came to life.
The last stop was at the Beer Garden for tasting. Each person got 3. I tried a sip of a few and thought they were disgusting so I let Adam enjoy mine. Adam was amused by the faces I made.
The tour was an hour and we spent about a half hour at the Beer Garden followed by the gift shop. So by this point, we were quite hungry for lunch!
Sobelman's was nearby. They claim to have the best burgers in Milwaukee (but I disagree). Adam and I both had the Loser Burger (burger w/ cheese, bacon & onions) which was on Food Wars when they competed against another local burger joint, AJ Bombers, and lost. Hence the burger name. It was actually pretty good. We also had "cheeseballs" AKA cheesecurds. They were okay. I did like that the burger came with fries (not so at AJ Bombers for a similar price).

Our next stop was the Pabst Mansion. Originally I had wanted to tour it, but we were running short on time and energy. So I settled for a few photos outside. Someday...

Then we went to check in at our hotel, The Hilton. It's the oldest hotel in Milwaukee and has quite the lobby. Our room was nice and on the 16th floor so we had a cool view of downtown.
There we took a nap and got ready for the game. I was excited to wear my new Ben Revere shirt! I picked it up on Friday after work in excitement that he was called back up. Of course the one game I wear it to he didn't start, but I was excited when he was put in for Span towards the end.
We got there around 5:30 and saw a lot of the Twins batting practice.
Then we walked around the first level of the stadium and checked everything out. I found the poutine! Christine warned me it wasn't good, but I didn't think it was too bad. We weren't that hungry though because we had a late lunch.

My initial thoughts on Miller Park-
It's a nice ballpark, but it definitely feels like a big stadium at times due to the huge walls supporting the retractable roof. There are barely any seats in the outfield, so they're all in the infield resulting in a 4th level. I would HATE to be way up in those nosebleeds. I bet they're like the cheap seats at the Dome where all the players looked like little ants below.
I liked Kaufmann a lot better, but Adam preferred Miller Park. And we both agreed that Target Field was vastly superior. Even if the idiots in front of us kept dogging on Target Field saying the sight lines weren't very good, the seats weren't comfortable (uh ok?), and why the heck didn't they put a roof on it. I think Target Field has more personality and is a lot more open because it doesn't have a roof. Miller Park does feel closed in even with the roof open. The giant open windows in the outfield helped though.
Also, Adam and I thought it was pretty cool that there was so much parking for tailgating. However, that resulted in a lot of very drunk fans like the guy in the row behind us that puked all over and had to leave. Gross!
