Day 15 (Saturday):

2. Remove old countertops and carry outside
| So naked! |
4. Measure, measure, measure and plan strategy
5. Remove butcherblock from boxes, lay it on countertop and mark
(#6-11 are condensed because I wasn't really helping so I don't know what was done or when. but it was most of the day)
6. Cut pieces to size.
7. Cut edges that butt up against each other so as to be flat

| Here you can see the notches they cut on the undersides |
10. More cutting, notching and installing
11. Measure and cut last piece for by the fridge
12. Join edges together with drawbolts and wood glue. Get woodglue drips on face (Adam).

14. Cut hole for undermount sink using jigsaw for curved edges and drill for straight
15. Install Fixa strip above dishwasher (my other contribution for the day)
Since we didn't have a functioning kitchen, Curt and Robin generously invited us over for dinner. It was nice to get away from our kitchen disaster zone and visit.
Day 16 (Sunday):
Adam again went into work for a few hours, and returned around 9:30 to continue our super. fun. kitchen project.
1. Sand the sink hole with sander
2. Touch up sanding by Stef
3. Cut hole in counter for faucet and hole for spray nozzle
4. Clean off sink area with tack cloth
5. Hold sink in place and mark where to mount it
6. Put silicone around sink edges and lift into place.
7. Hold it up with a 2x4 across the top and 2 clamps in the drain holes.
8. Drill screws and washers into bottom edges of sink to hold it in place
9. Wipe away excess silicone. Let set for an hour.
10. Run to Home Depot for plumber's putty and new drains (old ones looked extra bad next to the shiny new sink)
11. Install plumber's putty and drains. Wipe away excess putty
12. Clean off countertop with tack cloth
13. Use large brush to apply Waterlox to cabinet tops, sides and underside edges (Stef) with exhaust fan running
