What? You want more?
Fine.
Today is Day 6 of cabinet painting. Suffice it to say we're getting rather tired of it. But we're not even halfway done....
Day 4:
This was a rather painful day in my world. I got home from work, started dinner, took Chester for a walk, asked Adam to put up the shelf in the kitchen, made dinner, ate, and then we started painting.
Apparently no one ever told Chester it's bad luck to stand under ladders
Chester joined us this evening so he wouldn't be alone for 2 hours. He was pretty good. Don't worry, this paints has very low VOC's and no detectable odor.
As I shivered down in the basement painting and outside with Chester, I fantasized about a nice warm shower. It started out warm, and quickly turned cold. Really cold. It was most unpleasant. Adam thought it was funny.
Day 5:
This was an easy day for us as the painting only took about an hour! Woohoo!
1. Flip over the cabinet doors to paint the front.
Look familiar? That's because we've been doing this EVERY STINKING NIGHT THIS WEEK
3. Helped Adam finish the fronts while discussing our electrical outlet issue with the stove. Be pissed off at how much we're being quoted.
4. Celebrate by laying on the couch.
Tonight we only have to paint the 2nd coat on the cabinet fronts. I'm pretty excited to have some couch time.
And because it's Naughty Puppy Thursday, Chester needs some photo love.
He's actually adapted quite well to "his" kitchen becoming a construction zone.
