It was my first Gopher Football game, and first time at TCF Bank Stadium for both of us since they played at the Dome when Adam was in college. It was pretty cool.
We sat in a group of 20, which was a lot of fun. Our seats were up pretty high, but they were only $20 each
with the group rate, so I didn't care. For dinner, Adam and I both got Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. They were okay.
I was really excited about the band's half time show, but they didn't march around much like I had hoped. Probably because they haven't had much time to practice yet?
The Gophers played UNLV and won quite handily. The final score was 51-23.
Christine was even at the game as all freshman got free tickets. We met up briefly before she left in the 3rd quarter.
It was a really hot and humid night, and didn't get any cooler as the sun went down. At 9 pm, it was still 90°. Gross. I'm glad we went though, it was fun!
We ended up leaving when our group did mid-way through the 4th quarter. It was a bit after 9. On our way back to the car, we stopped by Christine's room so Adam could see it. I'm glad we stopped, because I also set up her printer for her quick.
