Christine goes to college!

On Monday, my baby sister Christine moved into her dorm at college. It's so crazy to me to think she's in college now. I'm so glad she picked a school up here though so we can see her more. It'll be fun to have her nearby! Without traffic, it's only a 15 minute drive (with traffic it's like 45, ugh).

My parents brought her up and they did all the heavy lifting Monday afternoon. I stopped by after work at 5 to see her room. She has a single. It's nice and big with lots of storage space.

I also brought a few "Welcome to College" gifts like a Paris frame for her to put up, Garlic Cheesebread chips, and a few little microwavable meals.

Then we tried to put her pictures up on the wall with Command Strips. It was epic fail. Nothing would stick. We decided it was because of the ridiculous heat and humidity. Even though her room had A/C (lucky!), it still was pretty warm. We gave up around 7, and grabbed dinner at Punch Pizza. Delicious! Then we picked her up some supplies at CVS.

Since we wouldn't be seeing Mom on her birthday Saturday, I gave her the gift from us early.

It's a handmade ceramic pug pin that we got at Pike Place Market in Seattle.

She loved it!

We headed out around 8:30. Mom was pretty sad to leave her, but she handled it well.

I can't believe my parents are empty nesters now! I think they need to get a pug.
