Weekend Recap: Birthday & Privacy!

We had a pretty low key weekend at home, enjoying the quiet before the holidays.

On Friday night, we watched The Avengers, which was disappointingly bad. We had watched all the Marvel movies this summer to prepare for it, and still thought it was pretty bad. I can't figure out how it was such a Box Office hit!

We also worked on putting a few things into the display part of the Hutch. I'm still playing around with it though.

Saturday, I had a lovely headache, so I spent a lot of time snuggling with an ice pack and a puppy. Adam was restless, so he went to Fleet Farm for a few hours to look at ice fishing stuff. He can't wait for cold weather so he can get out on the ice.

Around 5, I decided to suck it up and get ready to go out. Some friends were having a dinner/gathering to celebrate their birthdays. We had a lot of fun going out by the U. I found a few places with cider on tap, which was most exciting.

Sunday was a Vikings bye week, so there wasn't any football I was interested in watching. I did some Target shopping instead!

I came home with a little project for Adam. Our bedroom on the first floor isn't the most private, especially when we have company.

So Adam put a curtain rod above the door, and we can close it off when people come over or when I get dressed in the morning. Poor Chester is still figuring it out though. I had the door shut and the curtain drawn, and he ran right into the door because he thought it was open.

The nice thing is that if we decide we don't like it, it's just a few little holes in the wall to fill in.

We also put up our Christmas tree, but quickly lost the energy to decorate it. Plus, we had The Walking Dead to watch. Decorating will come after Thanksgiving when I'm more in the Christmas spirit.
