Adam's Birthday Weekend

Adam's birthday was on Saturday, so of course we celebrated all weekend.

On Friday night, just the two of us went to dinner at The Strip Club. It's located pretty close to our house and we've been wanting to get there for a while. We had a really fun time together. Of course I will post more about the food later this week.

Saturday was the day of Adam's party with friends. We slept in, and then I made breakfast burritos, Adam's favorite morning meal. They're so easy. For these, I just cooked up some scrambled eggs and bacon, diced up some tomatoes and through it all in a soft shell with shredded cheddar, cilantro and some hot sauce. Easy but delicious!

After breakfast, Chester helped Adam open his gifts. We got him a new coffee maker, a variety of coffee, and some new sweatpants for lounging around the house with Chester.

Then we spent the rest of the day organizing, picking up the house, and making food for the party. And we sure made a lot of food. All of our yummy party food and beverages will be the topic for this week's Foodie Friday.

Adam also did about an hour for a little house project - installing a new faucet (photos to come tomorrow). Chester wanted to help REALLY bad.

At about 7, our friends started arriving. It was a nice small group of good friends. Thank you to everyone that came. It was a nice time! And Chester was a really good boy. He loved all the attention.

On Sunday, we slept in and lounged around the house. We also picked up from the party. Clean up went surprisingly fast. Gotta love the dishwasher!

At 6, we met Adam's family in downtown St. Paul at Meritage. We had an excellent dinner together. We've only been there twice now, but it's definitely become one of our favorites!

It was wonderful to celebrate Adam's birthday all weekend. He deserves a lot of celebration!
