First, a little story from last night. While I was in the shower, Chester managed to unroll half the toilet paper and started eating it. Wonderful. I had to get out mid shower, dripping all over the place to pry the tp out of his mouth. But it's hard to be mad at him when he's just so darn cute!
Tonight was Chester's last Obedience Class. He was a little stressed prior to going because we had packed up all his stuff for his week with my family. He isn't a big fan of change. But he settled in pretty quickly at class. He did really well in all the areas he was tested on except for heeling. We didn't feel too bad about that though because everyone got "needs more training" for that. He got his little certificate and is free to sign up for Obedience 2. We may have to wait for fall for that though because we will be on vacation this summer and would miss class. When she handed out the certificates the instructor said Chester deserved special mention because he's come a long way and did really well. She said she didn't expect him to based on the first night, and she was surprised how well he did. I guess he was a bit naughty the first few classes, but he really is a good dog.
After class we dropped him and all his gear at Adam's parents. They are going to watch him tonight and tomorrow before going down to visit my parents this weekend. He'll stay with my parents and sister until they come visit next weekend. We're really going to miss the little guy, but we're lucky to have family so willing to watch him so we could go on our Kansas City trip knowing he's in good hands.
