Saturday morning, I made crepes for everyone. There were many choices including chocolate or regular, nutella or cookie butter, and raspberries, bananas or strawberries. Yum!
The guys went fishing for the day. They said it was a little slow, but they each caught a few walleye and then a huge 41" sturgeon!
Mom and I went to my friend Laura's Wedding Shower at her mom's house. It was very nice! Lots of great food and fun games!
My mom got her some bakeware.
I had fun wrapping her gift in her wedding colors!
I gave her a sentimental gift of a glass white shoe ornament. She gave me a pair of this and a purse for Christmas when we were teenagers. I always put them up on our tree, and when I was putting away our tree this year, I decided to save one to give her at her shower.
Along with a Fiesta cream + sugar + holder set, I gave her a silly gift on top. When we were in middle school, we cut these "hot guys" out of magazines and named them. We were cool... I found them in a box when I was going through some stuff in my upstairs project.
There were also some delicious cupcakes!
Christine stayed home with the naughty pug Chester. When we got home, mom and I worked on Christine's photo board for her graduation party. Apparently Chester felt neglected because he decided to be quite bad. I looked for him in the living room, and did a double take.
"Oh hey mom!"
At 6, my mom dropped me off downtown at Wine Guyz for Laura's Bachelorette Party. We started with a wine tasting. I don't really like wine, but really enjoyed it! We had a flight of white and a flight of white along with some snacks.
Then, we went next door to Piggy's for dinner. I was still full from the shower and wine tasting, so just had an Asian salad. It was delicious with portobello mushrooms.
Next, we walked down to Starlite Lounge for martinis. I had my favorite Hazelnut Tiramisu.
"Duck faces" at Dublin Square
My lovely mother picked me up 2:30. Yes, we were out until bar time. It got a little later then I thought it would... Thanks again mom!
Sunday morning I was rudely awakened by Adam shaking me to get up and get ready for church. It was a rough morning for me. Adam and I drove separate from my parent's to Ava's First Communion. Ava looked so sweet in her dress! Towards the end I started feeling really dizzy and had to go lay down in the car for a bit. I did see Ava receive her First Communion though!
Before the party, we stopped by the dealership where we gave the car it's first bath (from us). Now it's all shiny and clean!
Dad also gave us a tour of the progress on the new building. It's really coming together and I can't wait to see it complete towards the end of the summer.
Then it was off to Ava's First Communion Party. By then, I was feeling much better, and the food helped a lot. I may have had a bit of an "overhang" as Adam calls it.
We made sure to get a photo of Ava with her Godparents.
Let's compare this to her Baptism in 2005.
After lunch, we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. It was a great weekend!

Thank you Stefany I am so adorable.
