Friday, I went to bed early with a wicked headache.
Saturday
morning, Adam got up bright and early to go fishing with a friend. He
said it was really slow, but he enjoyed getting out on the ice for the
first time this season.
Chester and I enjoyed sleeping in,
and then spent the morning doing some housework. Chester got sick of
following me around, and decided to take a nap on the couch.
He also found a sun spot to lounge in
Adam
got home just as I was heading out to pick up my sister. It was perfect
timing as Chester wouldn't have to be home alone (he hates it!).
Christine
and I picked up a few things at Target, and then came home to make some
holiday treats. We had homemade Mac & Cheese for lunch, and then
got going on baking.
We made cake balls, pecan praline fudge, wreath cookies, and dipped pretzels. It was a lot of fun.
I
took her back to school at 5 so she could study for finals this week,
and then picked up Adam to do our Christmas shopping. We're mostly done
now which is a big relief!
On Sunday we went to the Vikings
game. They won. I was mad. By winning a meaningless game, we dropped
from #4 in the draft (projected to pick the best QB available in the
draft) to #8 (and falling if we win more).
$#*@#! So frustrating. I was especially pissed at all the idiots around us cheering excitedly for us to win. DO YOU PEOPLE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL!?!
There
was a cool half time presentation where they introduced the All Mall of
American Field (Metrodome) Team. There were a lot of former players
there, even though we were snubbed by Moss and Carter.
It
was our last time at the Metrodome, which made me happy. Can't wait for
the new stadium! Especially after standing outside in 0° for 20 minutes in the security line to get in. Ridiculous!
The rest of the afternoon we relaxed at home with Chester.
