It had been kind of a long week, so we took it easy at home on Friday night. Adam surprised me with a bottle of St Germain Elderflower Liqueur. It's kind of spendy, so he knew it was something I wouldn't buy for myself. It was so thoughtful of him!
Then Adam grilled a delicious dinner, and we relaxed. I even went to bed early!
Saturday morning, Adam made us some delicious corn beef hash. And then we did housework. Lots of housework. Around 5, I started getting ready for us to go to the ACS Legacy Ball. My work was one of the sponsors, and the owner had gotten a table. She kindly invited Adam and I, as well as the Controller and his wife. We were the only non-family members she invited, so it was quite an honor to be included.

I had originally planned to wear the dress I wore to our wedding rehearsal. Unfortunately, it was a little loose so I had to resort to Plan B. I wore a dress I had never worn before (except for Halloween as a flapper). It actually worked out really well, and I'm glad I wore it. Adam looked very handsome in his suit and tie!
The event was at the new Radisson Blu by the MOA. It was a lovely venue, even though the valet was a pain because of all the mall and event traffic.
We arrived around 6:30, and had some time to mill around, have some apps and drinks, and check out the silent auction items before the dinner and program began at 7:30. The food was pretty good - a little surf & turf. I gave Adam my salmon, but actually enjoyed the filet. There were a few moving speakers as well as a live auction before the band started around 9. There were reportedly 450 people there, but seemed like everyone left after dinner. Including everyone at our table.
But we did not. We had so much fun dancing!!! The complimentary wine may have helped... Adam was the Designated Driver (it's usually my role), so I REALLY enjoyed myself.
By the time we left around midnight, there were probably only 15 people left!
The next morning I awoke to realize I had had a little too much fun. I didn't get out of bed until noon. Good thing the Vikings had a bye week! We ended up watching the Packers-Lions game because my family was there.
I did a few house projects, and we tried to finally paint the second coat on the garage door, only to have it start raining on us. So we ended up finishing it on Monday night. In the dark. (Who knew it started getting dark so early now?) it looks so much better now though!
Around 4, we headed over to Adam's grandma's house for a family gathering. It was nice to see everyone.
That night, my parents arrived around 9 to spend the night after dropping my sis and her friend back at school. It was a lot of driving for them to go to a Packers game. At least they won!
We enjoyed having them stay with us, and Chester LOVED having visitors! He disappeared for a little bit, and I discovered him in the kitchen investigating their bag. Little stinker!
