| This photo makes me realize our garage needs a bath. bad. |
Since Sunday was Father's Day, I let Adam sleep in for once while I took Chester around the block and fed him. Then I relaxed on the couch to read the paper. Chester decided he was going to lay on a pillow out in the porch, so I joined him. It was lovely!
Once Adam got up, I made him scrambled eggs with ham and cheese (and morels for myself). I also made the pesto pasta salad for that evening.
Around 1, we headed over to the grad party for Adam's cousin Marissa. It was fun to see everyone! Next on the agenda was a few errands like picking up Father's Day presents for our dads, and more chairs for the patio. Having friends over on Friday night made us realize four chairs weren't enough, and our hand-me-downs had reached the end of their lifespan.
That night, we celebrated Father's Day with both of our families. My parents were staying with us for Christine's orientation at college on Monday and Tuesday, so the timing was perfect. It was so nice to celebrate with both of our Dads.
There was a short storm around 7, but it went through quickly and we were still able to enjoy the evening. Adam grilled hot dogs and burgers.
Then we enjoyed dessert and opened presents.
We gave Adam's dad a I <3 DC shirt (inside joke because they were there last fall),
a canning book, and then some grilling supplies.
And a "real nas" card too!
We gave my dad a non-stick ceramic Green Pan,
and together with my mom and sister, a photo book I put together from our trip to Montana in 2011.
This is right about the time my camera decided to act up and be blurry. That's what I get for using the point-and-shoot. Ugh.
After everyone left or was in bed, I was washing my face in the bathroom. I came out, and found Chester sleeping on the couch. It was adorable.
