This past weekend, we went down to La Crosse so Adam could do some walleye fishing with my dad. Unfortunately, it was windy all weekend and the fish just weren't biting. They were out all day on Saturday and had very little luck - Adam caught one sauger (closely related to the walleye) and my dad caught a bass. They went again for a few hours on Sunday, and Adam caught a decent small mouth bass.

Luckily, we had a good time seeing everyone. On Friday night, we went out to dinner as a family to Manny's. It was fun to try something new. My seafood burrito was exceptional. My mango margarita on the other hand was rather flavorless. But the chips and salsa were great as well.
Saturday morning I got my hair cut! I get these moods sometimes where I just want to cut all my hair off. I get so sick of maintaining it and usually end up being lazy and just pulling it back into a pony or bun. It's above my shoulder now, but I can pull it into a tiny little nub of a pony if I want it out of my face. So far, I love it! As long as I can keep the 1950's flip look to a minimum with the flat iron. I actually wanted it a bit shorter, but baby steps I guess.

After my hair appointment, we went over to the marina and looked at mom and dad's new pontoon boat. It looks really nice and I'm excited to spend some time on the river in it next summer!

That evening, we met Joe downtown. Always a good time.... I'm really loving Dublin Square for their on tap cider and of course, the best Bloody Mary's in the world at Del's. I've been obsessed with them since I first was old enough to drink. Adam actually got his own this time. He enjoyed the spice and flavor as well.
We got back at a decent time last night, and went to turn on the heat only to discover the boiler wouldn't turn on. Wonderful. A repairman is coming tomorrow. How annoying. I guess we get to freeze for one more day. Thankfully we have space heaters.
