I'm counting down until my trip to Florida over Thanksgiving. We'll be leaving 2 weeks from this Sunday, and I can't wait. I need a vacation! I'm really looking forward to the warm weather.
The main reason we're going is because my sister's high school band is marching in a parade at the Magic Kingdom. Christine and our cousin Kelly will be there with the band, but we'll still get to see them. My mom, Aunt Carey, Mary, and cousin Caroline will be going. Christine's band was there two years ago as well, but we didn't go then. This is our last chance before she graduates. I can't believe my baby sister will be a senior next year!
I've never been to Disney over the holidays, so I'm excited to see all the Christmas decorations. We used to go to Disney almost every other year, but I haven't been to Disney World since I was like 16, and the last time I was at Disneyland was right after I had graduated from high school.
Besides seeing Christine march, I'm probably most excited for our day at Universal/Islands of Adventure because I've been really wanting to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It sounds really neat. I love Harry Potter!
It'll be a little weird to be in warm weather for Thanksgiving and away from most of my family. Luckily, I'm not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food, so I'm not too sad to be missing out on the turkey, stuffing (bleuch), mashed potatoes and gravy. The only thing I'm sad about is the pecan pie. Maybe I'll be able to find some down there.
I'm sure I'll miss Adam and Chester a lot as well. We'll be able to chat on facetime on our iphones, which is awesome. Plus we'll only be gone from Sunday until Saturday though, so it's not like we'll be gone forever. It can't come soon enough!
